About Us - Cathy’s Credentials

Educators must be prepared to teach a diverse population of special students. I have had opportunities that have allowed me to teach children with varying degrees of challenges. They have had diagnoses such as PDD-Autism, Asperger Syndrome; Down Syndrome; Mentally Handicapped; Cerebral Palsy; Fragile X Syndrome; Behavior Disorder; and Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity. These disabilities should not prevent a child from being integrated in a normal classroom environment.

Education can begin once behaviors are under control. All children have the ability to learn at their own level, not because the law mandates it, but because they have the motivation to learn. Learning to adapt in positive ways is a primary key.

Never underestimate what your child can do, I won't. I set high expectations and they never disappoint.
